The popular Ford Ranger has returned for the 2019 model year. The newest version of this truck is ready to join the impressive Ford pickup lineup as the company’s midsize truck entry. The 2019 Ford Ranger in Savannah GA will be available starting in early 2019. The new version of the truck is preparing to make its triumphant return.

Powering the 2019 Ranger will be Ford’s 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine. This turbocharged engine has earned an impressive reputation powering other Ford models. The EcoBoost engine delivers the ideal blend of performance and efficiency. The Ranger will pair this engine with a 10-speed automatic transmission.

2019 Ford Ranger Features and Trim Levels

Ford will be offering the 2019 Ranger in three trim levels: XL, XLT and Lariat. The three trim levels can be supplemented by three available packages, the Chrome and Sport appearance packages and the FX4 Off-Road package. The truck is also offered in SuperCab and SuperCrew cab configurations.

The three 2019 Ranger trim levels will each offer a variety of standard and available comfort, safety and technology features.

Comfort and Technology Features: Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, Ford+Alexa functionality, FordPass Connect 4G LTE Wi-Fi, AC power and USB outlets, B&O PLAY premium audio.

Safety and Driver Awareness Features: Automatic Emergency Braking (standard on all models), Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Reserves Sensing System, Blind Spot Information System with trailer coverage, Pedestrian Detection and Adaptive Cruise Control.

The available FX4 Off-Road Package adds multiple features designed to maximize the off-road performance of the 2019 Ranger. These include off-road-tuned shocks, all-terrain tires, frame-mounted heavy-gauge steel front bash plate, frame-mounted skid plates, special badging, Dana AdvanTEK independent front and solid rear axles, Terrain Management System and Terrain Control technology.

The Terrain Management System takes its inspiration from the similar system offered on the Ranger’s sibling, the F-150 Raptor. The system features four drive modes: “Normal,” “grass, gravel and snow,” “mud and ruts” and “sand.” Trail Control is like cruise control designed for low-speed travel on rugged terrain.

The 2019 Ford Ranger will be arriving at dealerships in early 2019. OC Welch Ford offers many excellent Ford models to test drive while you wait for the new truck to arrive.
