2018 Ford F-150, RAM 1500 Engine Options and Features

In addition to the diesel engines, the 2018 Ford F-150 and 2018 RAM 1500 will each offer multiple gasoline engine options. Five gasoline engine options will be offered on the F-150, while the RAM 1500 offers two.

Standard equipment on the 2018 F-150 includes a 3.3-liter V-6 engine. The truck can also be equipped with a 2.7-liter EcoBoost V-6 engine, 5.0-liter V-8 and two versions of Ford’s EcoBoost 3.5-liter V-6 engine. The RAM 1500 starts with a standard 3.6-liter V-6 with a 5.7-liter V-8 available as optional equipment.

The best performance numbers available on the RAM 1500 come via the V-8 engine, which produces 395 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque. The F-150 is able to top these numbers with the available EcoBoost 3.5-liter V-6. This engine checks in at 450 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque. This engine is paired with Ford’s new 10-speed automatic transmission.

Ford will be offering the 2018 F-150 in seven trim levels: XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, Limited and the high-performance Raptor model. A wide variety of features will be offered on the truck. These include: SYNC 3 touchscreen infotainment system, Bluetooth and USB connectivity, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, a rearview camera, leather-wrapped steering wheel, panoramic sunroof, front and rear parking sensors, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, dual-zone automatic climate control, leather upholstery, HD radio, surround-view camera, automated parallel parking system, adaptive cruise control with forward collision warning and mitigation and more.
