2017 Ford Fiesta Engine Options and Fuel Economy

For those who’d rather not drive with a manual transmission, Ford also offers a six-speed PowerShift automatic transmission on the 1.6-liter standard engine. Also available, in place of the 1.6-liter engine, is an Ecoboost 1.0-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine releasing 123 horsepower and 125 pound-feet of torque, which can only be controlled by a five-speed manual transmission.

The standard 1.6-liter engine of the 2017 Fiesta earns an Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)-estimated 27 miles per gallon (mpg) in the city and 36 mpg on the highway. The Ecoboost 1.0-liter turbocharged engine, on the other hand, achieves a remarkable EPA-estimated 31 mpg in the city and 41 mpg on the highway.

In a league of its own, the ST features an exclusive turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine that unleashes an impressive 197 horsepower and 202 pound-feet of torque which, like the 1.0-liter engine, can only be tamed by the five-speed manual transmission. The powerful ST receives an EPA-estimated 26 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway.

S Sedan – Key features include a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, remote keyless entry and Bluetooth capability. Starting MSRP is $13,660.

ST – Key features include the exclusive engine, keyless entry and ignition and sportier specs across the board. Starting MSRP is $21,140
