It’s been a firm 20 years since Lincoln released the first Navigator models to dealerships like O.C. Welch Ford Lincoln. When it hit the road, the Navigator quickly became the “must-have” large luxury sport utility vehicle. Since the first Navigator rolled off the line, the world is radically different. Lincoln looks to be getting ready to deliver the next best full-size large luxury SUV to the world. The Lincoln Navigator concept has been making the auto show circuit recently and is currently residing in Chicago. O.C. Welch will be obtaining new images ahead of the release date for the newest Lincoln Navigator.

“The all-new Navigator Concept reinforces our commitment to give every Lincoln client what we call quiet luxury – vehicles and experiences that are elegant, effortlessly powerful and serene,” Kumar Galhotra, president of Lincoln said in a press release. “This kind of quiet luxury sets Lincoln apart. Now, we’re showing fans of large SUVs how we can exceed their expectations, without being the loudest statement on the road.”

What does the new Lincoln Navigator look like?

A true luxury vehicle naturally draws inspiration of other luxury items. The Lincoln design team working on the new vehicle took elements from luxury sailboats and yachts. Everything from the clean lines provided by various marine vehicles to the paint scheme found with the Lincoln Navigator concept. The Storm Blue exterior paint scheme represents the blue and grey hues found at sea as well as in the skies. Specialty wood accents lend further credence to elements taken from top-of-the-line luxury yachts.

What kind of engine will the new Navigator have?

While the Lincoln Navigator concept is still in development and nothing is set in stone, early reports say the new luxury SUV will have a twin-turbocharged, 3.5-liter, V-6. The purported output is set in the area of 400 horsepower, similar to that of the newly released Ford Expedition.
