Which Ford SUVs are able to tow a trailer?

Most people have preconceived notions of what a heavy-duty vehicle looks like, and in most cases, that image is of a big truck. However, what most people don’t realize is that many vehicles are capable of performing the same tasks that a truck is able to without sacrificing comfort and interior space. Drivers who need an all-purpose vehicle that is able to undertake not only carting around passengers but also towing a trailer will want to take a look at the Ford SUV models that are able to handle a trailer.

When looking for a Ford SUV with towing capacity, you won’t have just a couple of options to choose from. All six SUV models from Ford are more than capable of towing a trailer. Of course, your vehicle’s towing ability is completely contingent on if you have the correct equipment. For instance, when properly equipped, the 2018 Ford Expedition can tow up to 9,300 pounds with the available Heavy-Duty Trailer Towing Package. Without the package, the vehicle is only able to handle towing up to 5,900 pounds. On many of the other models, the engine that you choose has some effect on how much your vehicle can handle towing.

No matter which model you choose, there are plenty of benefits to opting for a Ford SUV. While Ford vehicles are well-known for their performance, drivers will also get to experience the comfortable and technologically advanced interior that offers plenty of cargo space.
