How to Use the Good Neighbor Mode on the 2018 Mustang

When a neighbor called the police on Steve von Foerster—the former head of vehicle engineering for Ford Motor Company—because of his Mustang’s loud roar, he wasn’t upset; rather, he was inspired. There had to be a better way of controlling an engine’s volume, keeping both the driver and the neighbors happy. In light of this, Ford created the all-new Good Neighbor Mode for the 2018 Mustang.

Now, Mustang drivers have more control over their engine’s volume than ever before. First, there are four volume-control options – Quiet, Normal, Sport and Track. Naturally, Quiet makes the smallest amount of noise and Track makes the most.
