The 1968 Ford Mustang featured in the Steve McQueen movie “Bullitt” is as responsible for making people fans of the car as any piece of Ford advertising. In the world of car collectors finding one of the cars used in the film is like finding the Holy Grail. If a recent AutoBlog post is to be believed, someone in Mexico may have just hit the jackpot. Supposedly, a small repair shop south of the border has come across one of the cars used in the movie. And further adding to the hysteria, supposedly the VINs even match. Preliminary information about the 2018 Mustang, produced by Ford, seems to support this supposition found on automotive internet forums and in magazines. Fall is a long time away to have to wait for anything. Especially, if the thing you’re waiting for is the release date for the 2018 Ford Mustang. Ford has refined the exterior of the new 2018 Mustang to have a more athletic aesthetic with a new front- and rear-end design to match its lean look. Improvements for the 2018 Mustang, on display at the Chicago Auto Show, include a new all digital instrument cluster with driver preference memory as well as new safety systems like pre-collision warning.
