What performance options are available on the 2018 Ford Focus?

For a majority of drivers, the most important feature of their vehicle is its ability to take them from one place to another without any trouble. However, there are also drivers who want a vehicle that is fun and powerful whether they’re getting groceries or tearing up the track. No matter which category you fall into, the 2018 Ford Focus has a model with performance options that will fit your needs.

On the 2018 Ford Focus, there are six different trim levels when you include the two performance options. Drivers who are looking for a more traditional drive will likely want to take a look at the 2018 Ford Focus S, SE, SEL, or Titanium. For the more performance-driven consumers, the 2018 Ford Focus ST and RS provide high-powered engines that are at home on a track or the road. With all of those trim levels, it’s no wonder that the 2018 Ford Focus has four different engine choices.

Which 2018 Ford Focus trim level should you choose?

The standard engine of the 2018 Ford Focus is the 2.0L Ti-VCT four-cylinder that provides 160 horsepower and 146 pound-feet of torque. You’ll be able to access this engine on the S, SE, SEL, and Titanium trims. Drivers who choose the SE sedan will have the option to choose a different engine, the 1.0L EcoBoost® three-cylinder that boasts an estimated fuel economy of 30 mpg in the city, 40 mpg on the highway, or 34 mpg combined when equipped with the manual transmission, making it the most efficient options. Those seeking excitement will want the 252-horsepower 2.0L EcoBoost® four-cylinder with 270 pound-feet of torque on the 2018 Ford Focus ST or the 350-horsepower 2.3L EcoBoost® four-cylinder on the 2018 Ford Focus RS.

No matter which performance option you choose, the 2018 Ford Focus is an excellent vehicle that provides drivers with plenty of choices, like sedan or hatchback styling on almost all the trim levels. Find the one that best fits you by scheduling a test drive at OC Welch Ford.
