When will the 2018 Ford F-150 Diesel be available?

2018 Ford F-150 Diesel Release Date

The 2018 model year will mark several changes for the Ford F-150. One of the highlights of the new F-150 will be the addition of an all-new turbodiesel engine. So, when will the 2018 Ford F-150 diesel be available? The 2018 Ford F-150 diesel release date is set for early next year.

2018 Ford F-150 models equipped with the diesel engine will be available starting in the Spring of 2018.

2018 F-150 Engine Lineup

The diesel engine offered on the 2018 Ford F-150 will be a 3.0-liter turbodiesel V-6 engine. Performance and efficiency numbers for the engine will be available closer to the launch date.

In addition to diesel engine, the F-150 offers five gasoline engine options. Standard equipment on the 2018 F-150 will include a new 3.3-liter V-6 engine. Performance numbers on the base engine check in at 290 horsepower and 265 pound-feet of torque.

Next up on the list of engine options is Ford’s 2.7-liter EcoBoost V-6. Performance numbers on this first V-6 are rated at 325 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque.

2018 F-150 models will continue to offer Ford’s 5.0-liter V-8 engine. Performance numbers on the engine have been improved for the new model year. The engine now produces 395 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque.

Two versions of Ford’s 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6 engine will be offered on the 2018 F-150. The first version is rated at 375 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque. The 2018 F-150 Raptor trim level will be equipped with a special high-output version of the 3.5-liter engine. This version maxes out the performance numbers available on the truck at 450 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque.
