Ford F-150 fans will be seeing a significant change for the 2018 model year. 2018 will mark the debut of the F-150’s new diesel engine. The 2018 Ford F-150 diesel engine performance ratings will help this truck continue to lead its class.

The 2018 F-150 will offer Ford’s all-new 3.0-liter Power Stroke turbodiesel V-6. This engine will produce an impressive 250 horsepower and 440 pound-feet of torque. The engine will be paired with Ford’s 10-speed automatic transmission. These performance numbers lead to a maximum towing rating of 11,400 pounds. The maximum payload for the diesel truck will check in at 2,020 pounds.
