Is Ford SYNC® 3 available on the 2018 Ford Escape?

Technology has become one of the first things that people consider when they buy a new vehicle. Everyone wants to make sure that they are able to stay connected while driving, which can be dangerous if you don’t have the right systems. With texting and driving being such a dangerous activity, many drivers are turning the vehicles, like the 2018 Ford Escape, that have systems that make it easy to use your device without taking your eyes off of the road or your hands off of the wheel.

There are two different options that drivers will find for infotainment systems in the 2018 Ford Escape. The standard one, which you’ll find of the 2018 Ford Escape S and SE, is Ford SYNC®, which features enhanced voice recognition as well as the ability to connect your device for access to your contact and the ability to send and receive text messages. On the other trim levels, the SEL and Titanium, drivers get an upgrade to SYNC® 3, which includes a touchscreen interface and access to your favorite apps, as well as Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ compatibility.

Available Safety Technologies on the 2018 Ford Escape

While these systems can help curb distracted driving, accidents still can happen, which is why there are also a variety of advanced safety technologies on the 2018 Ford Escape SE, SEL, and Titanium. When you add the Ford Safe and Smart Package to your vehicle, you’ll be given access to rain-sensing windshield wipers and auto high-beam headlamps, which will dim your headlights when another vehicle is approaching, or if they aren’t necessary. Other available safety features include the Blind Spot Information System with cross-traffic alert, a Lane-Keeping system, Forward Collision Warning with Brake Support, and Adaptive Cruise Control. All of these systems work together to help keep you alert and aware of changing situations outside of your vehicle.
