For some, it is relaxing to spend a weekend covered in grease, working on getting their favorite vintage ride back into condition. On the other hand, there are some who want the satisfaction of doing something with their hands without needing a huge garage. Those who don’t have to time or space to dedicate to revitalizing an old vehicle can now live out their restoring dreams on a smaller, blockier scale with the new Ford Mustang LEGO set.

Build a tiny piece of history with the 183-piece model of the 1968 Ford Mustang fastback. This iconic Mustang racer joins five other Ford model LEGO sets in the LEGO Speed Champion collection. The vintage design of this LEGO set provides car enthusiasts and LEGO fanatics alike a chance to play around with the iconic Pony car.

What other LEGO Ford Speed Champions kits are available?

Included in the kit are the 183 pieces that make up the green body and dual gold stripes, four wheels, a removable windscreen, racing decals and stripes, a Ford-branded timing board, and a figure wearing a racing suit. If you want to build a Ford model vehicle before the 1968 Mustang set is released on March 1, 2018, this isn’t the only Ford Mustang set that is available in the LEGO Speed Champions lineup. You can also build the 2015 Ford Mustang, along with the Ford F-150 Raptor, Ford Fiesta WRC, Ford Model A Hot Rod, and the Ford GT40.

While the LEGO kit is a great way to get your hands on a Ford Mustang, it is no substitution for the real thing. Get behind the wheel of the 2018 Ford Mustang and feel the power for yourself when you schedule a test drive at OC Welch Ford. Drivers who aren’t quite ready to own a full-size Ford Mustang, and who are content with the LEGO models, can learn more about the options and features available by visiting the OC Welch Ford blog for more information.
